8/8/2008 - Raucous "Girls Night" fun for all Review
The estrogen level of "Girls Night" did everything it could to blow the roof off of the palatial Hanover Theatre Wednesday night.
7/17/2008 - Girls Night: The Musical - Get Ready for Estrogen Overload Review
Imagine this if you can: "Sex in the City" meets "Desperate Housewives." Then, throw in "Grease" as the offbeat third ingredient and you've got "Girls Night: The Musical."
5/30/2008 - Girls Night: The Musical Review
I must say I was pleasantly surprised after dragging my baby-booming, starch-conservative mother out to "Girls Night: The Musical" last night. It even sent my Pentecostal mother on a laughing spree...
5/14/2008 - Leave The Man at Home For Fun Musical Review
Think just as funny and raunchy as "Sex in the City," although definitely not as sophisticated.
4/4/2008 - Broadway Series South: Girls Night: The Musical Review
Last night, this uproarious musical comedy, produced by Entertainment Events Inc. and Robert Dragotta of New York City and presented April 1 - 6 by Broadway Series South, had the mostly female audience in A.J. Fletcher Opera Theatre rocking, from its opening number - Diana Ross' "Remember Me" (1971) to its exuberant encore of Gloria Gaynor's 1978 chart-topper "I Will Survive."
12/4/2007 - Wimple while you work: Sister leads "Christmas Catechism" Review
So, a nun walks into a theater. No, really. It's not a joke. Not yet.
10/31/2007 - Paramount musical celebrates female friendships News and Press Releases
There's nothing quite so entertaining as watching girls who just want to have fun. They can be catty and cynical, silly or serious, weepy or wistful. And they've evene been known to get a bit raunchy every now and then - usually after midnight and only with the most innocent of intentions.
10/25/2007 - Sister rules, with sharp humor and nostalgia Review
"Late Nite Catechism" at the Olney Theatre Center for the Arts through Nov. 11, takes a hilarious and nostalgic look at parochial school education 40-some years ago, and incorporates many of the changes in the church since then, but it is never unkind or cynical about either the old or the new ways.
11/28/2006 - Watch out, wise men: Sister's a wiseacre Review
Now for something completely different - at least in these rancorous times: a comedy inspired by the Catholic Church that isn't edgy or angry or blasphemous.

Testimonials

I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Girls Night: The Musical on July 8th.  The women were so talented and the show was a riot.  You could see how much the audience enjoyed it by dancing, clapping hands and laughing.  I am looking forward to seeing it again on Sunday, July 20 with my group of 62 people.  Thanks again,
-Jane Young, Boca Pointe Country Club

I had a few listeners e-mail in this morning that they loved the show, and thanked us for the tickets.  That rarely happens, and so glad to hear Girls Night was a success last night.

Dear Mary, Just wanted to let you know how much everyone enjoyed your performance on Saturday night.  Every single person coming out of the auditorium said they hope we bring another show to town.  We were a little nervous, never having done this before but you and Marty were so nice and easy to work with.  We are anxious to do it again.  Thanks for a great night!

-Barbara Nole, St. Anthony's of Padua Parish

Just a short note to let you know how well our Late Nite Catechism event went!  We had an absolutely wonderful evening and Mary and Patrick - they were a pleasure to work with.  The event was the talk of our 4 feeder parishes on Sunday (9/30/2007)!  The show went very well and a good time was had by all!  It was a successful fundraising event for our school as well.  Thank you,

-Rita Sokos, St. Francis de Sales Catholic School

Late Nite Catechism 2 was indeed a wonderful success here at Mother of Sorrows.  Not only did it raise funds for our youth ministry programs and the local convent, but it also brought our parish together for an evening of wholesome Catholic fun and community that spanned the generations.  Colleen Moore was terrific in the role of "Sister", and she graciously posed for pictures with our teen ushers and the many fans from the audience who visited with her after the show.

Working with your organization over the last six months has been a real pleasure.  We truly felt you were part of our team and invested in our success, from the first conversation I had with Donald, to finalizing production details with Chris.  Everyone was so kind and helpful and willing to work with us that it made the experience easy and enjoyable, and one we hope to repeat.

Many thanks to everyone at EEI-

-Joanne McDermott, Mother of Sorrows Youth Ministry

By the way we also produced some excellent marketing materials which helped us make "The Great American Trailer Park Musical" our most successful show ever.

It's a great show and I'd like to contribute to it's success and long life.

Congratulations!  Late Nite Catechism 2 was thoroughly enjoyable!  Colleen Moore's presentation at St. John Vianney Parish in Prince Frederick, MD Saturday evening was hilarious and thought provoking.  Her quick wit and presence in the "classroom" were exceptional and her theology, although presented in a humurous fashion, was right on target!  It's obvious that Colleen's Catholic educational background and her post Vatican II updating served her well in response to questions and quips from the audience!  The three of us who are "real" Catholic Sisters involved in ministry here in Calvert County are still laughing over some of the things she said!!!  We appreciate also that the evening was without irreverence and Catholic bashing of any kind!  Thank you!  Our commendations to Colleen!  May you continue to have success!  We look forward to the next class!

-Sr. Barbara Roche, Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Solomons, MD

I had to send you a note to tell you how much I laughed at your show in Laguna Beach.  It was a real blessing!  We had just spent the afternoon in the hospital.  We almost did not go to the show, because we were emotionally drained.  We already had tickets, so we went.  To spend the evening laughing hysterically was good medicine!  Thank you.  Yours is definitely a ministry of teaching and joy.  I still do not understand why laughter is not one of the gifts of the spirit.  Love You.  Beverly.  P.S.  I had the St. Francis answer!  12 years of Catholic School!

Our presentation of Late Nite Catechism went off with out a hitch thanks in a large way to you and the other staff members of Entertainment Events.

Our actress, Diana Carl, was outstanding!  She was indeed a delight in her portrayal as “Sister.”  Everyone who attended enjoyed her performance immensely.  Her acting abilities along with her great personality endeared her to our audience. After the play, she spent personal time with five religious sisters from our local Benedictine Monastery.  We even had seven priests come to the performance and they had a wonderful time as well.

Please pass on to the powers that be, that Diana Carl was great in her role as “Sister.

Our group of nine saw the show last night and absolutely roared! What a delightful show. Our nun just wonderful, funny, engaging, and yet 'tough'! You don't have to be Catholic to enjoy the Catechism!

I wanted to let you know what a great time we had with Late Nite Catechism.

Being the 'theme park capital of the world', this was a completely new type of event for this area. I know the show well and am very aware of the universal appeal it has. You don't have to be Catholic to 'get it'. You can be a 'Public' and still relate.

Everything ran smoothly. Thanks to our production rep, Rick Dines, for his professionalism. He kept 'class' running smoothly which allowed us to focus on our audience and 'front of house' business. And, a VERY special 'thank you' to actress, Mary Zentmyer. She deservedly got a long, loud and sustained 'Standing-O' at the end of the show. She was more than gracious, especially after the show during the 'meet and greet'. She took time to talk and pose for pictures with almost the entire audience.

Now that the precedent has been set, I'm sure we will be bring 'Sister' back in the not too distant future.

Sister was superb! I believe that she had the audience convinced that she was a real life nun. Catholic or Non-Catholic enjoyed two plus hours of good wholesome laughter and fun. It was a great event for Davenport Rotary and I had people thanking me for bringing the play to Davenport. Many of our guests had seen it before, one gentleman said this was the thirteenth time he had seen it.

We certainly enjoyed the performance of Late Nite Catechism in Quincy, Illinois. Sister did a superb job of keeping us in laughter and bringing back many memories for those who experienced Catholic schools in that era. Keep up the great work!

It is good clean fun. The Catholics love it, and so do the Protestants. EEI does a good job.

Our parish, Sts. Charles and Helena in Clio, Michigan, had its production of Late Nite Catechism last night, April 22nd. It was a tremendous success. I want to commend our actress, she was so pleasant and easy to work with and she really held the crowd spellbound with her portrayal of Sister. This was the 3rd time I have seen this production.

It's amazing, but some of the committee heads were saying, ‘When we do Late Nite 2 we can...’ I can't believe it! They're already planning ahead!!! Sister was fantastic--she was sooooooo good!

I wanted to take a moment to tell you how pleased we were with your staff (from initial contact to follow-up) as we put on the production of Late Nite Catechism in our community. Late Nite was our organization’s first attempt with a major fundraising event, and what a huge success it was. The entire experience of Late Nite Catechism was so much fun, and so easy! Of course we raised a lot of money for our organization in the meantime, and received some phenomenal exposure to boot! You should be proud of your staff – they are fantastic! Well done!

- Lisa S. Bell, MA, The Portals Corporation, Washington, MO
